Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 separating one from another, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 As justification or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 for an appointed term? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
