۞ Such as fear not the meeting with Us (for Judgment) say: "Why are not the angels sent down to us, or (why) do we not see our Lord?" Indeed they have an arrogant conceit of themselves, and mighty is the insolence of their impiety! 21 Upon the day that they see the angels, no good tidings that day for the sinners; they shall say, 'A ban forbidden!' 22 And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed. 23 And for the People of the Garden on that day is a better destination and account, and a better place of afternoon rest. 24 A day when the heaven with the clouds will be rent asunder and the angels will be sent down, a grand descent. 25 True sovereignty, that Day, is for the Most Merciful. And it will be upon the disbelievers a difficult Day. 26 The unjust man will bite at his hand and say, "Would that I had stood by the Messenger! 27 Would that I had never chosen so and so for my companion! 28 he made me forgetful of the warning after it had reached me. Satan is man's great betrayer." 29 And the Apostle will say: my Lord! verily my people took this Qur'an as a thing to be shunned. 30 And even so We appointed unto every prophet an enemy from among the culprits. And thine Lord sufficeth as Guide and Helper. 31 The unbelievers say, 'Why has the Koran not been sent down upon him all at once?' Even so, that We may strengthen thy heart thereby, and We have chanted it very distinctly. 32 And they will never bring you an example, but We shall bring you a true narration and better than it. 33 Those who will be gathered to Hell (prone) on their faces, such will be in an evil state, and most astray from the (Straight) Path. 34
