۞ Those people, who have no fear of coming before Us, say, "Why should not the angels be sent down to us? Or else we should see our Lord. " Great arrogance have they assumed in regard to themselves, and have transgressed all limits in their rebellion. 21 The Day, when they will see the angels, will not be a day of rejoicing for the criminals; they will cry out, "May Allah save us!" 22 And We will proceed to what they have done of deeds, so We shall render them as scattered floating dust. 23 The Companions of the Garden will be well, that Day, in their abode, and have the fairest of places for repose. 24 Upon the day that heaven is split asunder with the clouds and the angels are sent down in majesty, 25 on that Day [it will become obvious to all that] true sovereignty belongs to the Most Gracious [alone]: hence, a Day of distress will it be for all who deny the truth, 26 On that Day, the wrongdoer will bite his hands and say, "Would that I had walked in the Messenger's path! 27 Oh, woe is me! Would that I had not taken so-and-so for a friend! 28 he made me forgetful of the warning after it had reached me. Satan is man's great betrayer." 29 AND [on that Day] the Apostle will say: "O my Sustainer! Behold, [some of] my people have come to regard this Qur'an as something [that ought to be] discarded!" 30 Thus do We keep opponents among the sinners for every apostle; yet your Lord is sufficient as a guide and helper. 31 And those who disbelieve say: Why has not the Quran been revealed to him all at once? Thus, that We may strengthen your heart by it and We have arranged it well in arranging. 32 And no question do they bring to thee but We reveal to thee the truth and the best explanation (thereof). 33 Those who will be dragged headlong into Hell shall have an evil place to dwell in, for they have strayed far from the right path. 34
