The people of Lot accused the messengers of lies. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 161 "Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 "So fear Allah and obey me. 163 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 164 “What! Among all the creatures, you commit the immoral acts with men?” 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" 166 'Lot' they replied, 'if you do not desist, you shall be thrown out' 167 He said: verily I am of those who abhor your work. 168 Lord, save me and my family from their deeds." 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 Except an old woman among those who remained behind. 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 And rained on them a shower (of Stones). How terrible was the rain (that fell) on those who had been warned! 173 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175
