The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 The devils cannot hear those high above. They would be struck from all sides 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 Rather you are surprised, whereas they keep mocking. 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised (again)? 16 And so also shall our forefathers of yore be raised to life?” 17 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
