And make mention (O Muhammad) of Our bondman Job, when he cried unto his Lord (saying): Lo! the devil doth afflict me with distress and torment. 41 (The command was given:) "Strike with thy foot: here is (water) wherein to wash, cool and refreshing, and (water) to drink." 42 And We gave him his family and the like of them with them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to those possessed of understanding. 43 We told him, "Take a handful of straw. Strike your wife with it to fulfill your oath." We found him to be patient. What an excellent servant he was. He was certainly most repenting. 44 And remember Our servants, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - those of strength and [religious] vision. 45 Verily We did choose them for a special (purpose)- proclaiming the Message of the Hereafter. 46 And most surely they were with Us, of the elect, the best. 47 And remember Isma'il and Al-Yas'a and Zul-kifl; all of the excellent ones. 48 This is a commemoration. Surely for those who take heed for themselves is an excellent place of return -- 49 'Adn (Edn) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), whose doors will be open for them, [It is said (in Tafsir At-Tabari, Part 23, Page 174) that one can speak to the doors, just one tells it to open and close, and it will open or close as it is ordered]. 50 They will be comfortably seated; reclining, they will call for abundant fruit and drink; 51 ۞ And with them will be maidens of equal age with modest gaze. 52 This is what you are promised for the day of reckoning. 53 this is Our unending provision' 54 This: and verily for the exorbitant there shall be an evil retreat: 55 Hell, where they will burn, an evil resting-place. 56 This - let them taste it: scalding water and corruption. 57 and other torments of the like kind coupled together. 58 Here is a multitude rushing headlong with you. There is no welcome for them. They will roast in the fire. 59 (The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!" 60 They say: Our Lord! Whoever did prepare this for us, oh, give him double portion of the Fire! 61 And they will say, "Why do we not see men whom we used to count among the worst? 62 Took we them so unjustly for a butt of mockery, or are they deluding our eyes? 63 Such, behold, will in truth be the [confusion and] mutual wrangling of the people of the fire! 64
