Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

By the morning brightness 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11
