The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed 9 And when the books are spread, 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And the night when it departs, 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 So where are you going? 26 This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
