The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
READ in the name of thy Sustainer, who has created 1 Hath created man from a clot! 2 Recite: and your Lord is Most Generous, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 Hath taught man that which he knew not. 5 Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious. 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 Indeed towards your Lord only is the return. 8 Have you seen one who prevents 9 a servant (of Allah) when he prays? 10 Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abu Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Quran), and turns away? 13 Knoweth he not that Allah doth see? 14 And yet indeed if he does not desist We shall drag him by the forelock, 15 A lying, sinning forelock. 16 Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): 17 We shall call on the guards of Hell. 18 Nay, heed him not: But bow down in adoration, and bring thyself the closer (to Allah)! ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.
