T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran to make you, (Muhammad), miserable, 2 Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, 4 the All Merciful settled on the throne. 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 Whether you speak aloud [or in a low voice], He hears all, for He knows your secrets and what is even more hidden. 7 Allah, there is no god except He. To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? 9 When he saw fire, he said to his family: Stop, for surely I see a fire, haply I may bring to you therefrom a live coal or find a guidance at the fire. 10 When he came to it, a voice called out: "Moses! 11 I am your Lord. Take off your shoes, for you are in Towa, the sacred valley. 12 I have chosen you. So listen to what is being revealed. 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 Verily the Hour (of the great change) is about to come. I keep it secret that every soul may be rewarded for its endeavour. 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 "It's my staff," he answered; "I lean on it, and fell leaves for my goats with it, and I have other uses for it." 18 Said He, 'Cast it down, Moses!' 19 So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. 20 Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. 21 “And put your hand inside your armpit – it will come out shining white, not due to any illness – one more sign.” 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed." 24
