Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And Elias (El Yaseen) was among the Messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 and at night. Do you still not understand? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
