Surely We have created man, and We know the promptings of his heart, and We are nearer to him than even his jugular vein. 16 When both receivers (the angels) receive, one on his right, the other on his left, 17 He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready. 18 And death's agony comes in truth; that is what thou wast shunning! 19 The trumpet will be sounded. This is the Day [you were] warned of. 20 Each soul shall come with a driver, and a witness. 21 Certainly you were heedless of it, but now We have removed from you your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 His companion will say: "Here is (the record) I have ready with me." 23 It will be said to the angels, “Both of you fling every excessive ungrateful, stubborn person into hell.” 24 "Every obstructor of good, transgressor, and the sceptic, 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ His companion (Satan devil)] will say: "Our Lord! I did not push him to transgress, (in disbelief, oppression, and evil deeds) but he was himself in error far astray." 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 The Word is not changed with Me; I wrong not My servants.' 29
