The Comet (Al-Taareq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 Therefore give them some respite – give them some time. 17
