The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 Arriving thereby in the center collectively, 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 He certainly has a strong love for wealth and riches. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
