Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

THE AVARICE OF plenitude keeps you occupied 1 until you reach your graves. 2 But you will soon come to know. 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 You will surely see the Hellfire. 6 Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the bounties (of God). 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
