Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 in the clear Arabic tongue. 195 Without doubt it is (announced) in the mystic Books of former peoples. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Israelites know it? 197 And if We had revealed it unto one of any other nation than the Arabs, 198 And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 They will not believe in it until they suffer the painful torment. 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 And this Qur’an was not brought down by the devils. 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment. 213 Warn your tribe and your near kinsmen. 214 and lower your wing to the believers who follow you. 215 then, if they disobey thee, say, 'I am quit of that you do.' 216 Have trust in the Majestic and All-merciful God, 217 Who sees you when you stand up. 218 And thy movements among those who fall prostrate. 219 For it is He Who heareth and knoweth all things. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the satans descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 on those who whisper hearsay in the ears of people; and most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 Do you not see that in every valley they roam 225 preaching what they do not practice. 226 Except those who believe, work righteousness, engage much in the remembrance of Allah, and defend themselves only after they are unjustly attacked. And soon will the unjust assailants know what vicissitudes their affairs will take! 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
