(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
