1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Gather together those who did wrong and their comrades and that which they were wont to worship 22 "Besides Allah, and lead them to the Way to the (Fierce) Fire! 23 And halt them, to be questioned: 24 'Why do you not help one another? 25 Nay, but that day they shall submit (to Judgment); 26 And some of them inclined towards others, mutually questioning. 27 They said, “It is you who used to come to us from our right, in order to sway.” 28 But they reply: 'Rather, you were not believers. 29 And we had no authority over you, but you were an inordinate people; 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray. 32 Therefore, on that Day they will all share Our punishment. 33 Verily that is how We shall deal with Sinners. 34 They were the ones, who on being told, "God is only One," become puffed-up with pride 35 And said: "Should we abandon our gods for the sake of an insane poet?" 36 In fact, he had brought them the truth and had acknowledged the Messengers (who were sent before him). 37 You will indeed taste a painful punishment, 38 And you will be requited nothing except for what you used to do (evil deeds, sins, and Allah's disobedience which you used to do in this world); 39 But the bondmen of Allah, the sincere ones 40 for them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits, and they shall be highly honored, 42 In Gardens of peace. 43 On couches facing one another; 44 A cup from a gushing spring is brought round for them, 45 White, delicious to those who drink. 46 Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them shall be damsels of refraining looks, large-eyed 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 Then some of them will turn to others, and will ask each other. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be requited?" 53 (The man) said: "Will you look down?" 54 And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire. 55 He will say, "By God! You almost brought me to ruin! 56 But for Allah's favour, I should be one of those who have been mustered here. 57 (Another will say:)"Is it true, we are not going to die 58 Save our first death, and are we not to be tormented? 59 This is indeed the mighty triumph, 60 for the like of this let the workers work.' 61 Is this better as a welcome, or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Verily We! We have made it a temptation for the wrong-doers. 63 It is a tree that grows in the nethermost part of Hell. 64 Its emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devils. 65 The dwellers of hell will eat that fruit and fill-up their bellies. 66 Then most surely they shall have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water. 67 then their return is unto Hell. 68 Verily they found their fathers gone astray. 69 Yet they hasten to follow in their footsteps. 70 And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;- 71 And certainly We sent among them warners. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were admonished (but heeded not),- 73 Except the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 74
