S (Saad)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Sad, and by the Qur'an full of exhortation! 1 But the unbelievers are still full of pride and hostility. 2 How many a generation have We destroyed before their time [for this very sin]! And [how] they called [unto Us] when it was too late to escape! 3 They marvel now that, from among themselves, a warner has come to them. The unbelievers say: 'This is a lying sorcerer. 4 What, has he made the gods One God? This is indeed a marvellous thing.' 5 And their leaders went about, “Leave him and cling steadfastly to your Gods! Indeed he has a hidden objective in this!” 6 We never heard of it in the former faith. It is surely a fabrication. 7 "Has the Reminder been sent down to him (alone) from among us?" Nay! but they are in doubt about My Reminder (this Quran)! Nay, but they have not tasted (My) Torment! 8 Or do they [think that they] own the treasures of thy Sustainer's grace - [the grace] of the Almighty, the Giver of Gifts? 9 Or is it that theirs is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend by any 10 This is only a small army out of the several armies that will suffer defeat here. 11 To the truth gave the lie aforetime Noah's people, and [the tribe of] Ad, and Pharaoh of the [many] tent-poles, 12 And Samood and the people of Lut and the dwellers of the thicket; these were the parties. 13 Each of them who rejected the Messenger become subject to Our punishment. 14
