Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
