Said [Moses]: "O my Sustainer! Open up my heart [to Thy light,] 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 And loose a knot from my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 Appoint for me a henchman from my folk, 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 Increase through him my strength 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 That we may hallow Thee oft. 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 Verily, Thou seest all that is within us!" 35 He replied: 'Moses, your request is granted. 36 We had already shown you favor 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 "'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye. 39 Recall, when your sister went along, saying: 'Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him?' Thus We brought you back to your mother so that her heart might be gladdened and she might not grieve. Moses, recall when you slew a person. We delivered you from distress and made you go through several trials. Then you stayed for several years among the people of Midian, and now you have come at the right moment as ordained. 40 I have chosen you for Me. 41 "Go you and your brother with My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and do not, you both, slacken and become weak in My Remembrance. 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 Both of you must speak with him in a gentle manner so that perhaps he may come to himself or have fear (of God)." 44 The two [brothers] said: "O our Sustainer! Verily, we fear lest he act hastily with regard to us, or lest he [continue to] transgress all bounds of equity." 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 "So go you both to him, and say: 'Verily, we are Messengers of your Lord, so let the Children of Israel go with us, and torment them not; indeed, we have come with a sign from your Lord! And peace will be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement shall light upon him who cries lies and turns his back." 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright." 50 Pharaoh asked: "Then, what is the state of the former generations?" 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a book, my Lord errs not, nor does He forget; 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
