The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 No wonder you are surprised as they laugh with scorn. 12 and when they are reminded [of the truth,] they refuse to take it to heart; 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21
