Q (Qaaf)

Qaf. By the honored Qur'an... 1 In fact, it seems odd (to the pagans) that a warner from their own people has come to them. The disbelievers have said, "It is very strange 2 When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return." 3 We know all what the earth decreases from them; and with Us is a Book that retains. 4 They gave the lie to the Truth when it came to them. So they are now in a state of great perplexity. 5 Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps? 6 And the earth! We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and have produced therein every kind of lovely growth (plants). 7 A perception and an understanding, for every bondman who inclines. 8 And We have sent down from the heaven water and blest wherewith We have caused gardens to grow and the grain reaped. 9 and tall palm-trees with clusters of dates 10 A provision for (Allah's) slaves. And We give life therewith to a dead land. Thus will be the resurrection (of the dead). 11 (Others) before them rejected (prophets): the people of Nuh and the dwellers of Ar-Rass and Samood, 12 The 'Ad, Pharaoh, the brethren of Lut, 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the people of Tubba; each one belied the apostles, wherefore fulfilled was My judgement. 14 So did We tire by creating the first time? Rather they doubt being created again. 15
