Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him. 2 He will suffer in a blazing fire 3 His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- 4 [who bears] around her neck a rope of twisted strands! 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
