It is He Who has endowed you with the faculties of hearing and sight and has given you hearts (to think). Scarcely do you give thanks. 78 And He has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered back. 79 And He it is Who giveth life and causeth death, and His is the difference of night and day. Have ye then no sense? 80 Nay, but they said the like of what the ancients said. 81 They said, "When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 82 Indeed, this [very thing] we have been promised - we and our forefathers - long ago! This is nothing but fables of ancient times!" 83 Ask them: "Whose is the earth and those who are in it? Tell us if you know" 84 They will say, "To God." Say, "So will you not pay heed? 85 Say: "Who is it that sustains the seven heavens and is enthroned in His awesome almightiness?" 86 They will quickly say, "It is God." Say, "Will you not then have fear of Him?" 87 Say: Who is it in Whose hand is the kingdom of all things and Who gives succor, but against Him Succor is not given, if you do but know? 88 [And] they will reply: "[All this power belongs] to God." Say: 'How, then, can you be so deluded?" 89 In fact We have sent the truth to them, but they are liars. 90 Never did God take unto Himself any offspring, nor has there ever been any deity side by side with Him: [for, had there been any,] lo! each deity would surely have stood apart [from the others] in whatever it had created, and they would surely have [tried to] overcome one another! Limitless in His glory is God, [far] above anything that men may devise by way of definition, 91 The knower of the absent and the present, too exalted is He for what they associate (with Him)! 92
