Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 when heaven shall be split 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
