The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 by those that swim serenely 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 They say: that then shall be a losing return. 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 but he denied it as false and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
