The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
OH, the sudden calamity! 1 What is the striking (Hour)? 2 Would that you knew what the crash is! 3 On that Day human beings shall be like scattered moths, 4 and the mountains shall be like fluffs of carded wool in varying colours. 5 So for one whose scales prove heavy, 6 He will live a pleasant life (in Paradise). 7 But as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be light, 8 will have hawiyah as their dwelling. 9 And what will explain to thee what this is? 10 A fire hotly burning! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
