Pilgrimage (Al-Hajj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ O people, have fear of your Lord. The earthquake of the Hour shall be a great thing. 1 The day you see it every suckling female will forget her suckling, and every pregnant female will discharge her burden. You will see men drunk, yet it will not be intoxication. The torment of God will be severe. 2 And among men there is such a one that disputes concerning God without knowledge and follows every rebel Satan, 3 it has been decreed concerning anyone whom he befriends, that he shall mislead him and guide him to the punishment of the Fire. 4 O people! If you are in doubt about the Resurrection, remember that We first created you from dust, then from a sperm drop, then from clotted blood, then a lump of flesh, both shaped and unshaped, so that We might manifest to you [Our power]. We cause what We will to stay in the womb for an appointed time, then We bring you forth as infants and then We cause you to grow and reach full growth. Then, some of you will pass away early in life, while some of you will reach extreme old age in which they will know nothing of what they once knew. You see the earth, dead and barren, but no sooner do We send down rain upon it than it begins to stir and swell, and produce every kind of luxuriant vegetation: 5 This is because Allah only is True and because He will revive the dead, and because He is Able to do all things. 6 And verily the Hour will come: there can be no doubt about it, or about (the fact) that Allah will raise up all who are in the graves. 7 Yet there are some who contend about God without any knowledge or guidance or enlightening Book, 8 Bending his neck, that he may lead astray from the way of Allah; his shall be humiliation in the world, and We shall make him taste on the Day of Judgment the torment of burning. 9 'This, is the reward for what your hands have forwarded. Allah is not unjust to the worshipers' 10
