The day the enemies of God will be gathered at the Fire and the records of their deeds will be distributed, 19 So that when they reach it their ears and eyes and persons will testify to what they did. 20 And they will say to their skins, “Why did you testify against us?"; they will say, “Allah has made us talk, Who has given all things the power of speech, and it is He Who created you the first time, and it is to Him that you have to return.” 21 And you have not been hiding against yourselves, lest your ears, and your eyes, and your skins testify against you, but you thought that Allah knew not much of what you were doing. 22 but these thoughts which you entertained concerning your Lord, have brought you to destruction, and [now] you are among the utterly lost!" 23 Even if they are patient, their abode is Hell; and if they beg for favour, none will favour them. 24 ۞ We assigned for them companions who would make their past and present (deeds) seem attractive to them. Thus, they became subject to what the jinn and human beings before were destined to suffer. They were certainly lost. 25
