Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a known term? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
