The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 who are submissive to God in their prayers, 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 And those who keep a guard on their prayers; 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
