The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
