Pray, "Lord, if you would show me that [the punishment] of which they have been warned, 93 My Lord! then place me not with the unjust. 94 We have certainly the power to make you see what We have promised them. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best-Acquainted with the things they utter. 96 And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, 97 O my Lord, I seek refuge in You lest they attend me' 98 Until when death overtakes one of them, he says: Send me back, my Lord, send me back; 99 That I might do righteousness in that which I left behind." No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected. 100 And then no sooner the Trumpet is blown than there will remain no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask one another. 101 Then those whose scales are heavy, they are the successful. 102 And as for him whose good deeds are light, these are they who shall have lost their souls, abiding in hell 103 Their faces will be scorched by flames, and they will grin and scowl within it. 104 Were not My communications recited to you? But you used to reject them. 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our misfortune prevailed over us. We were indeed an erring people. 106 Our Lord, bring us out of it. If we return (to sin), then we shall indeed be harmdoers' 107 [But] He will say: "Away with you into this [ignominy]! And speak no more unto Me! 108 Among My worshipers there were a party who said: "Lord, we believed. Forgive us and have mercy on us: You are the Best of the merciful." 109 but you made them a target of your derision to the point where it made you forget all remembrance of Me; and you went on and on laughing at them. 110 Today I shall recompense them for their patience, for it is they that have won. 111 He shall say, 'How long have you tarried in the earth, by number of years?' 112 They will say, "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask those who have kept count." 113 He will say: ye tarried a little indeed; would that ye had known that. 114 Do you think We created you for nothing, and that you will not return to Us?" 115 So, exalted be Allah, the True King! There is no god but He, the Lord of the Great Throne. 116 One who worships things besides God has no proof of the authority of such things. God is certainly keeping the record of his deeds. The unbelievers will not have everlasting happiness. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
