Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Indeed yes, We are able to shape his fingerstips yet again! 4 Yet man is sceptical of what is right before him. 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And the sun and moon are joined together,- 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 nay, but man shall against himself be an eye-witness, 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Ours it is to gather it, and to recite it. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 so they might think the Calamity had been inflicted upon them. 25 NAY, but when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 And the leg is wound about the leg, 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
