The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 by the Promised Day, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 while they sat around it, 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
