Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 His property and worldly gains will be of no help to him. 2 he shall roast at a flaming fire 3 His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
