And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 With it came down the spirit of Faith and Truth- 193 upon your heart (Prophet Muhammad), in order to be one of the warners, 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 And verily it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 If We had sent it down on a barbarian 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 they shall not believe in it until they see the painful punishment 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will say: Are we to be reprieved? 203 Would they (now) hasten on Our doom? 204 Have you then considered if We let them enjoy themselves for years, 205 and thereupon that [chastisement] which they were promised befalls them 206 All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. 207 And withal, never have We destroyed any community unless it had been warned 208 for a reminder, and We never harmed. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 It would neither suit them nor would they be able (to produce it). 211 Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it. 212 So call on no other god but God, lest you are condemned to torment; 213 And warn your near relations, 214 and spread the wings of thy tenderness over all of the believers who may follow thee; 215 Then if they disobey thee, say: "I am free (of responsibility) for what ye do!" 216 Put your trust in the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 217 who sees you when you stand up [for prayer], 218 or move during your prostration with the worshippers. 219 Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every great accuser, extreme sinner. (The magicians) 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Have you not seen how they wander in every valley, 225 And that they say what they do not do? - 226 The righteously striving believers among them who remember God very often and use their talent to seek help after they have been wronged are the exceptional. The unjust will soon know how terrible their end will be. 227
