The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 to be followed by further [convulsions]! 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Has there reached you the story of Moses? - 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]. 25 In this, behold, there is a lesson indeed for all who stand in awe [of God]. 26
