The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 those who turn away from all that is frivolous; 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 and restrain their carnal desires 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 And who are shepherds of their pledge and their covenant, 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 These are the heirs 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. 21 And on them, as well as in ships, ye ride. 22
