The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
O you (Prophet Muhamad), the cloaked, 1 Rise up and warn! 2 And your Lord (Allah) magnify! 3 And thine inner self purify! 4 And banish all trepidation. 5 Do not bestow favours in expectation of return, 6 And persevere in the way of your Lord. 7 When the Horn is blown, 8 That shall be - that Day - a day hard. 9 not an easy day for the unbelievers. 10 Leave Me alone with he whom I created 11 And to whom I granted extensive wealth 12 And sons present by his side. 13 and made all things smooth for him; 14 And who yet coveteth that shall increase. 15 Never will he receive more. He has been hostile to Our revelations. 16 Soon I shall mount him on Saood, the hill of fire. 17 Surely he reflected and guessed, 18 (Self-)destroyed is he, how he planned! 19 What an evil plan he has made! 20 He looked (at others); 21 frowned and scowled; 22 then turned back, and swelling-up with pride, 23 and said, "This is nothing but sorcery from the ancients. 24 This is naught else than speech of mortal man. 25 I will cast him into hell. 26 And what will make you realize what hell is? 27 It shall not spare, nor leave. 28 making [all truth] visible to mortal man. 29 Over it are nineteen (angels guarding). 30 We have appointed none but angels to guard the Fire, and made their number only as a trial for the unbelievers, so that those to whom the Book was given are certain and those who believe increase in belief. And that those who were given the Book, and those who believe will not be in doubt. And that those in whose hearts there is a sickness, together with the unbelievers, may say: 'What did Allah intend by this as an example' As such, Allah leaves in error whom He will and He guides whomsoever He will. None knows the hosts of your Lord except He. This is no more than a Reminder to humans. 31
