Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 As justification or warning, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
