Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble, recording, 11 who know all that you do: 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
