Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 labouring, toilworn, 3 roasting at a scorching fire, 4 watered at a boiling fountain, 5 they shall have no food but thorns, 6 Which doth not nourish nor release from hunger. 7 Some faces on that Day will be radiant, 8 Rejoicing over their efforts. 9 In a high Garden 10 where they will hear no idle talk, 11 Countless springs will flow therein, 12 In which are high thrones. 13 and goblets set at hand, 14 and cushions arrayed 15 And rich carpets spread. 16 DO, THEN, they [who deny resurrection] never gaze at the clouds pregnant with water, [and observe] how they are created? 17 how heaven was lifted up, 18 how the mountains are set firm, 19 And the earth how it has been spread out? 20 So remind them (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)), you are only a one who reminds. 21 Thou art not at all a warder over them. 22 But whoever turns back and denies the truth, 23 Allah will punish him with direst punishment. 24 Indeed, to Us they shall return, 25 Then, surely, it is for Us to call them to account. 26
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
