Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

By the morning hours 1 and the brooding night! 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
