The Companions of the Rocky Tract also rejected the messengers: 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, for a genuine purpose. The Day of Judgment will certainly approach, so (Muhammad) forgive them graciously. 85 Your Lord is indeed the Creator of all, the All-Knowing. 86 We have given you the seven oft-recited verses and the great Quran. 87 Do not strain your eyes after what We have given certain classes of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and make yourself gentle to the believers. 88 And say: Surely I am the plain warner. 89 even as We had sent warning to those who had divided their religion into fragments; 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 Them, by thy Lord, We shall question, every one, 92 for what they have done 93 Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists. 94 Lo! We defend thee from the scoffers, 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 Glorify and praise your Lord and be with those who prostrate themselves before God. 98 And serve thy Lord until there come unto thee the Hour that is Certain. 99
