And certainly We sent Nuh to his people, so he remained among them a thousand years save fifty years. And the deluge overtook them, while they were unjust. 14 But We saved him and those who were with him in the Ark and made the event a sign for mankind. 15 And (We also saved) Abraham: behold, he said to his people, "Serve Allah and fear Him: that will be best for you- If ye understand! 16 You worship idols besides God and you create falsehood. Whatever you worship besides Him cannot provide you with anything for your sustenance. Seek your sustenance from the bounties of God. Worship Him. Give Him thanks. To Him you will all return." 17 But if you deny, then many a people have denied before you. The duty of the apostle is to convey the message clearly." 18 Have they not seen how God begins the creation and then turns it back? This is not difficult at all for God. 19 (Muhammad), say to them, "Travel through the land and see how He has begun the creation and how He will invent the next life. God has power over all things. 20 He causes to suffer whomever He wills, and bestows His mercy on whomever He wills; and unto Him you shall be made to return: 21 Neither can you escape (from His control) in the earth nor in the sky; and for you, other than Allah, there is neither a friend nor a supporter. 22
