The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Indeed there has been a time for man, when even his name did not exist anywhere. 1 We created man of a sperm-drop, a mingling, and We made him hearing, seeing. 2 Surely We have shown him the way: he may be thankful or unthankful. 3 Verily, We have prepared for the disbelievers iron chains, iron collars, and a blazing Fire. 4 But the righteous shall drink of a goblet mixed with camphor; 5 The Kafoor is a spring, from which the chosen bondmen of Allah will drink, causing it to flow wherever they wish inside their palaces. 6 They fulfill vows and fear a day the evil of which shall be spreading far and wide. 7 And feed the needy for the love of Him, and the orphans and the captives, 8 'We feed you only for the Face of God; we desire no recompense from you, no thankfulness; 9 Indeed, We fear from our Lord a Day austere and distressful." 10 Therefore Allah will guard them from the evil of that day and cause them to meet with ease and happiness; 11 and will reward them for their steadfastness with Paradise and robes of silk. 12 They will recline therein on couches and they will find neither excessive heat nor cold. 13 Near them shall be its shades with its clusters hung gently down, 14 and passed around them shall be silver vessels, and crystal goblets, 15 crystal-like, [but] of silver - the measure whereof they alone will determine. 16 They will drink cups containing (soft flowing) sparkling water 17 A fountain there, called Salsabil. 18 ۞ And there shall go round unto them youths ever-young. When thou seest them thou wouldst deem them pearls unstrung. 19 and when thou seest [anything that is] there thou wilt see [only] bliss and a realm transcendent 20 Upon them will be green Garments of fine silk and heavy brocade, and they will be adorned with Bracelets of silver; and their Lord will give to them to drink of a Wine Pure and Holy. 21 This will be their reward and their efforts will be appreciated. 22
