He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because the blind man came unto him. 2 And what could let you know? Perhaps he (comes to hear you) to be purified. 3 or take heed and derive benefit from [Our] warning? 4 Now as for him who believes himself to be self-sufficient 5 you eagerly attended to him -- 6 although it is not for you to be concerned if he remained unpurified. 7 As for the one who comes to you earnestly (striving for guidance). 8 and in awe of God 9 of him you were unmindful. 10 Nay, (do not do like this), indeed it (these Verses of this Quran) are an admonition, 11 so let those who want to follow its guidance do so. 12 in [the light of His] revelations blest with dignity, 13 Exalted, pure. 14 In the hands of scribes (angels). 15 Noble, virtuous. 16 Cursed is man; how disbelieving is he. 17 Of what [stuff] has He created him? 18 From a drop of seed. He createth him and proportioneth him, 19 then eased his path for him, 20 Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him. 21 Then, when He will, He bringeth him again to life. 22 Indeed, he has not fulfilled that which He has ordered him. 23 So man must look at his food. 24 We poured down rain abundantly, 25 Then split the earth in clefts 26 We make the grain grow out of it, 27 grapes, and fresh fodder, 28 And olives and date-palms, 29 and gardens dense with foliage, 30 and fruits and pastures 31 for you and for your herds to delight in. 32 But when there comes the Deafening Blast 33 Man will fly from his brother, 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 his wife and his children. 36 Every man of them shall on that day have an affair which will occupy him. 37 Some faces that Day will be beaming, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And (many) faces on that day, on them shall be dust, 40 Blackness overcoming them. 41 Such will be the Kafarah (disbelievers in Allah, in His Oneness, and in His Messenger Muhammad (Peace be upon him), etc.), the Fajarah (wicked evil doers). 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
