T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Koran upon thee for thee to be unprosperous, 2 but as a reminder to he who fears. 3 a revelation from Him who created the earth and the high heavens; 4 the All-compassionate sat Himself upon the Throne; to Him belongs 5 To Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth, and all whatever is between them, and all whatever is beneath this wet soil. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Moses? 9 When he saw the fire, he said to his family, "Wait here for I can see a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a burning torch or find a way to some fire". 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 "O Moses, I am verily your Lord, so take off your shoes, for you are in the holy plain of Towa. 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you]. 13 Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. 14 Although it is certain that the Day of Judgment will come, I prefer to keep it almost a secret so that every soul will receive the recompense for what it has done (on its own). 15 "Therefore, let not the one who believes not therein (i.e. in the Day of Resurrection, Reckoning, Paradise and Hell, etc.), but follows his own lusts, divert you therefrom, lest you perish. 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses." 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 "Now - as another Sign - place your hand under your arm and it will come out sheer white without harm (or stain). 22 That We may show you of Our greater signs: 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has transgressed all bounds." 24
